This Cow Hangs in my living room of my little farmhouse, where she seems right at home. She is 16x20 and painted in Acrylics. I painted her in 2020 and was in my Cow faze.

I opened a restaurant in Madison, South Dakota, that included a gift shop with local artist selling their works and we offered wine and paint classes. It was called Cows -N- Canoes Country Mercantile, because it is located across the street from Lake Herman, and sits with corn fields and cows surrounding it.

I painted Cows on the bathroom doors and some on tables, besides my Art on Canvas. Kinda went Cow crazy.

I closed the Restaurant part in 2024 and now use it for my studio and classes. This painting can be purchased in the print section.

“What I create and How”

I am a diverse Artist. I love to not just paint with one medium or one style. I enjoy Painting Portraits, landscapes, Realism, Sur-realism.

I like adding people or animals to my paintings and get excited when I paint older people with Character in their faces. I have a cow collection and am now doing cats. That started with being asked to do commissions after painting a friend’s cat. They seem to be a hit.

I am a mixed media artist, using oil, Acrylics, and Watercolors, some plaster and Gafferty acrylic's, which are thick like cake frosting. I enjoy adding unusual textures, Spray paints, inks and recently resins, are fun to try at times also.

I also accept commissions!

Woman holding a painting of a person wearing a furry hat, standing indoors near a decorative mantel and model boat.

Here is the low down on this painting. First, that is me standing next to the 36x36 Print called Blizzard Man.

The painting is actually my Husband Ricky. Ricky and Vicki, good match and Easy to remember, right?

He was outside in one of our harsh South Dakota blizzards and came in with ice Sickels hanging off him everywhere. His nose had them frozen, His bread, eye lashes even. He had a big furry Alaskan hat on I had bought him because he works outside a lot in hard weather.

I took one look at him and started to laugh and said are you crazy being out there in that blizzard. I said I need a picture of this. Then I decided to paint him. I thought, he is a symbol of a true South Dakota man, and if I do say so myself, I totally captured him.

This print is available to purchase in print section.
